Instructions For Use
  1. Moisten the bullet tip of the catheter with water, soap, or water soluble lubricant.
  2. Insert the catheter into the stoma about 2 inches following the path of least resistance.
  3. While taking a deep breath, slide the catheter tip through the pouch valve into the pouch. If insertion is difficult apply tap water into the drainage end of the catheter.
  4. Place the drainage end of the catheter into the toilet or drainage receptacle.
  5. If the pouch contents are too thick to drain, irrigate with tap water to initiate drainage, using an irrigation syringe as recommended by your physician.
  1. Drainage should be completed within approximately 10 minutes.
  2. After completion of drainage remove the catheter slowly to prevent any potential trauma to pouch stoma. If difficulty is encountered in withdrawing the catheter, reinsert and gently rotate the catheter, then withdraw.
  3. Cleaning - Use mild non oil-based soap and hot water. Rinse freely in running hot water.
 
Physician's Note

If you wish to sterilize the catheter, use one of the following methods:

  1. Flash 270°F (132°C) for 10 minutes @ 30psi.
  2. Standard 250°F (121°C) for 30 minutes.
  3. Pre-vacuum high temp. 250°F (121°C) for 25 minutes, or 270° F (132°C) for 10 minutes.
